Do you guarantee authenticity?
We only sell 100% authentic items. All vintage items we sell are checked on authenticity by a professional team that has years of experience in the field of luxury designer items. You will receive a declaration of authenticity with every vintage designer item you purchase. If you still have any doubts about the item you received, please contact us by e-mail or chat. Our designs and reworked vintage items are handmade in our studio and are labeled as our own brand.

 What is the conditions of the items sold on the website?

Every item is rare and unique. Vintage items are carefully selected and designs are handmade with high quality in our studio. Measurements, quality, material, and photos are all listed in descriptions of every item to ensure the item is being represented fully. Vintage items may have slight imperfections due to age and previous wear, please appreciate these items for their character.

What forms of payment are accepted?
We accept iDeal, Visa, MasterCard, PayPal, and Bancontact. Customers from certain countries may be required to pay using bank wire transfer or confirmed PayPall addres. The items remain to be ours until full payment is received.

Can I reserve an item I saw on your webshop, and see it in the showroom first before I buy?
Of course! We’re happy to reserve one of our items for you. You may reserve an item for 24 hours maximum. Have you seen an item online you would like to reserve, so you can have a closer look in one of our stores? Please e-mail us on in**@ch****************.nl or call or text us on (+310)6 45270800 (available daily between 10-6PM CET) and mention the (brand)name and model of the item. We love to see you at our showroom in Nuenen, the Netherlands and are happy to further assist you.


Can I cancel an order?
Yes. Should you find it necessary to cancel an order, you are able to cancel it when it’s not send out yet. As soon as you order is send out/shipped, it’s not able to cancel your order anymore. Call us at (+310)6 45270800 to cancel. This phone number is available daily between 10-6PM CET (Amsterdam time).


Do you accept gift cards?
Yes, we accept gift cards, but only our own. These can be purchased in our showroom or on our webshop.


Is my information secure?
Yes. Your privacy and security are important to us. Our secure online checkout system is provided by Mollie and confirmed by Click to Verify – This site has chosen a thawte SSL Certificate to improve Website security.


Are prices negotiable?
Unfortunately not. Our prices are fixed at the amounts indicated on the webshop.

Do you ever have sales?
We have sales quite often! We don’t have regular sales and discounts on our webshop. From time to time we do provide discount codes or promotions. Should you decide to wait to purchase an item until it will be discounted, please know that all our items are one of a kind. This means we only have one in stock!

Do I have to pay sales tax?
Christel Aldenhoven (Christelaldenhoven.nl), is required by law to charge 21% sales tax within the EU.

Do I have to pay bank charges?
Yes, all charges regarding payments or other extra bank charges will be paid by you. This includes all bank charges during purchasing and/or returning any item.

Will I be charged for shipping fees?
We charge shipping fees for all orders placed with a total order amount under €800,-. On all orders above €800,-, shipping fees are on us. Shipping costs are automatically calculated in your cart. We ship all orders with track& trace and secured, just in case. Shipment within the Netherlands is 8,50 EUR, to other European countries 18 EUR and worldwide 32 EUR.


Can I purchase an order online and pick up in person?
It’s possible to pick up the item(s) you bought on our web shop at our showroom in Nuenen, The Netherlands. You can choose for this option during checking out.  Please try to pick-up your item within 5 business days. Did you place a shipment order but do you prefer to pick up your order instead? Send us an e-mail on in**@ch****************.nl or call us on (+310)6 45270800 (available daily between 10-6PM CET) right after you have placed the order, as we aim to ship your order as soon as possible. Please let us know when you prefer to visit for pick-up. The paid shipping costs will ofcourse be refunded.


What carrier(s) does Christelaldenhoven.nl use?
We mostly use PostNL (International Parcel Tracking) to ship our items, sometimes for worldwide shipment DHL.


When will my item be shipped?
After your purchase, you will receive a confirmation email of your order. We aim to ship your order within 1 to 2 days from the receipt of payment (we contact you in any exceptions). We process orders from Monday to Saturday from 9am to 5pm. Once the order has been shipped, you will receive a track & trace code via e-mail or SMS so you can track your order.


When will my order be delivered?
Delivery times are based on your location, weekends and holidays. We ship our items from Nuenen, the Netherlands. The delivery time within the Netherlands is 1-2 business days. To other Europeans countries 2-4 Business days, worldwide shipping can take up to 3 weeks.

Do you combine shipping?
We are glad to help you save money by combining shipping for multiple items, and will wait to ship an item. Just send an e-mail to in**@ch****************.nl or call us on (+310)6 45270800 (available daily between 10-6PM CET) and ask us to hold the first order or item for you.

Do you ship to all countries?
We ship everywhere in the world on buyers costs.

Who is responsible for customs fees/taxes?
The buyer of the item is responsible for any customs duties or taxes that are applied by his/her country and is also responsible for paying these within the time given time frame. If the buyer of the item(s) does not pay these taxes (in time) and the item(s) will be shipped back to our studio, the buyer is responsible to get in touch and pay the shipping costs for shipping the item again. Please note, if this does not happen, the buyer will only get refunded 60% of the sale price.


What happens if my order gets lost during shipment?
First of all, we’re very sorry this happened. If the shipment gets lost by the carrier, we will start an investigation with the carrier. This normally takes up to 10 business days. We are not reliable for any misplaced or stolen packages. If the address provided to us upon checkout matches the exact address we have shipped your order to, and your tracking number reads as successfully shipped, we are not held responsible if your package has been misplaced.



Do you accept returns?
The return of design items or re-worked vintage items is accepted within 14 days after you received the item. This means the item has to be shipped back to our office/postmarked within 14 days. Customers are fully responsible for the shipping costs regarding the return of the item(s) aswell as the item(s) returning back to our office in its original state (same state as it left our office; unworn/ unwashed/ undamaged/ smell-free) with the security tag attached. Only when it arrives in its original state we are able to refund the full amount of the item(s). That is why we kindly ask you to ship the item back secured and registered (with track and trace), so we can assist you if any problem pops up. Shipping costs (and custom fees) will not be refunded. Unfortunately, we are not able to take back vintage items.


In order to avoid any problems after purchasing vintage items, please read the description and view the photos carefully. Please note the size measurements of the item and any flaws. Please remember all our vintage items are second hand and all our reworked vintage items are made out of second hand materials. This almost always shows somewhere, even if we mention they are in excellent vintage condition.

If any problem pops up after receiving the item according it’s condition, please contact us via email so we can come to a solution together. We are not able to process requests or claims made by Credit Card company’s or PayPal. Your issue will be suspended.


What is the security tag?
We place a security tag on each item that we sell. It is not removable without scissors. It will not damage the item in anyway, and is easy to remove but it just is not re-attachable. If you wish to return the item for any reason, it must have this tag attached.


How do I return my online order?
Such a shame you decided to return your online order. This implies webshop orders which we shipped to you and on webshop orders you have picked up in store. Please let us know by sending an e-mail to in**@ch****************.nl, saying you wish to return your order. We will respond to you within 2 business days and send you a return form. Print out the form, fill it in, add this to the box, close the box securely and ship the item back to us on your own cost. Please ship the item secured and registered, so in case of a loss there will be no issues.

I purchased an item in the showroom. Can I return it as well?
Unfortunately, we do not accept returns on items purchased physically in our showroom.


Can I return an item purchased on your webshop in the showroom?
Yes, this is possible. For more information, please send us an e-mail on info@ch****************@li**.nl or call us on (+310)6 45270800(available daily between 10-6PM CET).


When can I expect the refund of my order?
Once we have received your return, we will process the refund within 14 days via the payment method you chose to place the order.

Cancellation & other policies
What if I find a free or very cheap item on your webshop?
For obvious reasons, we do not sell free items (excl. shipping fee) or items for really low prices. We are human and make mistakes, sorry!  If you come across an item that is listed for €0.00 or any extreme low price, then that’s a mistake from our side. You would be very sweet to let us know we (might have) made a mistake. Please don’t order, because we will not ship the item and we will cancel the order. We will not refund the paid shipping fees in this case, which is according to European Law.
